Coleman and Ringwood Transportation Study
CRC is working with San Mateo County to gather community input and priorities in the redesign of the intersection of Coleman and Ringwood near Menlo-Atherton. These streets serve many schools and it is important the community weighs in to create a proposal to redesign the street and fit their needs! The area is a high-traffic pedestrian and bicycle zone that serves as important connections to many community destinations.
The current study aims to conduct a detailed review how both streets can meet and balance the transportation needs of all types of users, with a focus on safety and comfort. Potential solutions proposed could include protected bike lanes, sidewalks, public transit service, or anything else.
From CRC’s perspective, this study is vital, particularly its emphasis on walking and biking infrastructure, as it will help with making it safer to use low-carbon transportation modes and help address historical inequities in transportation infrastructure and policy in this area.
If you use these streets, we invite you to participate in helping us prioritize improvements and make it better for everyone using these corridors.
