Kai Erlenbusch comes to Climate Resilient Communities with over 13 year experience in the social and environmental impact sector. Most recently, he served as Program Manager with SecondMuse, providing curriculum and technical support for their For ClimateTech accelerator helping the State of New York and NYSERDA source the most promising climate tech innovators with hands-on support for their first customers, pilot runs, and investment. He additionally served as an impact investing consultant with its sister organization, SecondMuse Capital, serving clients like Grantmakers for Girls of Color, Pivotal Ventures, and Coeuraj. He additionally has a wide range of experience ESG, SDG, blended/sustainable finance, place-based investing, and effective grantmaking experience serving organizations such as Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, John Templeton Foundation, Clarion Call Capital, and 17 Asset Management, where he has provide expertise on fund design, research, participatory grantmaking, business planning, and investor relations. Kai has a substantial amount of nonprofit development experience, sourcing government, corporate, and foundations grants; individual giving, and special events management with the Legal Aid Society, World Science Foundation, and the Los Angeles Coalition to End Hunger and Homelessness.
